Closer to Nature

Republic of the Philippines is a Southeast Asian country that comprises 7,107 islands. It is an archipelago of which 11 of the largest island, occupies the 94% of the country's land. It's territory is subdivided into three large group of islands, the Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, that are comprised 17 regions having a total of 80 provinces. Most of it's mountainous islands are covered in tropical rainforest and volcanic in origin, and since situated on the western fringes of the Pacific Ring of Fire, the Philippines experiences frequent seismic and volcanic activity. This is why the Philippines is not just abundant in mineral deposits but also with natural scape, whether land or water, that became shelters of unique and beautiful floras & faunas. This is evident by the Philippines' famed tourist spots & natural scape (such as Boracay island, Puerto Princesa, Palawan's Underground river, Islands of El Nido & Coron, Palawan, the Sagada, Mountain Province, the Baguio City, the 2nd largest coral reef system in the world-Apo Reef and more) and Philippines' endemic Flora & Fauna (such as Philippine Tarsier, Tamarraw, the 3rd largest flower in the world-Philippine Rafflesia, and more).

Philippines is rich in natural resources. From islands that are mountainous, to the fertile & arable lands, to the extensive coastlines, one needs a lot of time to explore them all! But it's worthy of a try as Philippines is declared as 2nd cheapest yet best tourist destination in the world. So why don't we start with some few destinations by going into the nature?
